A new spring Apple event iPhone 13 Spring Event, Apple glasses, Apple car. And more. And so I wanted to cover all that information. So this is the news update for the week of February 7th, 2021. Apple released iOS 14.5 beta one to developers. Now, according to Mark Gurman at Bloomberg Dan Riccio. Which was announced. A week or so ago as being in charge of a new group. A new project at Apple is apparently in charge of the new Apple glass division.
So Apple's working on their own augmented reality solution. This is Google glass. Which was sort of a first attempt. But Apple has said to be working on their own version of virtual reality. And augmented reality glasses. So he's in charge of that. And Apple said to move them there. To give them more of a focus. And get it to market. So after that shift, retail continues to oversee AR and VR work. And apparently. They're working on their own custom screens. And testing their own camera hardware. So Apple is said to be working on that. And according to iMore.
The first VR headset is said to look like VR headsets. That's already are out there. It will have LIDAR to scan its environment. And apparently the production is said to be starting the fourth quarter of 2021 with a launch of 2022. According to the supply chain. So those should be really interesting. Also it said that it's going to be very high end with eight K displays. And 12 cameras for tracking hand movements. So to have displays that are eight K seems incredibly high resolution.

You'll need sort of powerful hardware to push that resolution as well. But it would be great to see them do something like that. It said to have interchangeable bands with spatial audio being incorporated into one of them. And then also it said to be as much as three to $5,000 [ in india Arond Rs. 3,64500 ]. So we'll have to wait. And see this sounds more like it may be one product or possibly two separate products. But people keep saying. That's there will be augmented reality. Like Google glass was where it puts the screen in front of you. And shows you information over the existing environment.
But also VR virtual reality. Which would be interesting as well. Let's see. It's a little ways out. But it's interesting that they're still working on it in eight K displays sound amazing. And that would be basically close to real life of what you would expect. Now, as far as the next iPhone minchi quo has said. The next cameras on the back of the iPhones will get better. Ultra-wide meaning a higher quality image with the ultra-wide camera with more light being led in with an F 1.8 aperture lens.
As opposed to the F 2.4. So the wide could get a better image. It is a little bit grainy from time to time. If you've used it on any of the current iPhones. So to see that upgraded would be great. Also, according to Mark Gurman. And Ming-Chi Kuo. That iPhone 13 is said to have optical based in display fingerprint sensors. That they're working on. And that would be great.
Now, some people have said. This is not going to happen since. In iPhone 13 Spring Event Apple said that. Apple released 14.5 or iOS 14.5. With the ability to use an Apple watch in tandem with an iPhone in sort of unlock. It that way.

It makes sense to have an under the display fingerprint sensor like. Put your thumb down on the screen. It unlocks. And you're in. I prefer touch ID as opposed to face ID. I know many people like face ID. But touch ID in combination with them, keeping face ID would be amazing. So hopefully we see something like that. Also, according to Barclays, iPhone 13 is to gain wifi six E. This seems like something.
That is obvious since. Apple has been including. The latest things and Samsung included wifi six E. That we would see that in the iPhone 13 with the latest wifi specs support it. Usually that's around March where they introduce new products. And the thing I'm looking forward to most is a refreshed iMac. That could look something like this. So an iMac could have squared off edges similar to what we have with the iPad pro, or it could look like the pro display XDR. But either way.
If you looking forward to see what Apple's next version of their Silicon can do. And what we could do with an upgraded iMac. That may have a slightly bezel display or close to Bez list display like the iPad pro. And also. You can expect iPad pro to get a little bit of an update. Maybe with many led displays. At this point that may not come until later. But hopefully an updated iPad pro. If they do what they do every year. As well as an iPad mini. That would be 8.4 inches. And look similar to this iPad pro as well. So we would have sort of a consistency across the lineup of iPads. Also Apple TV looks to be getting a refresh. Finally, hopefully anyway.
Apple TV is well outdated at this point. It needs an update. As far as the processor in it. And maybe some Ram as well as storage. So that would be great to see. And then what seems to get the most traction as far as what seems to be in the supply chain is updated AirPods. So AirPods three. As well as air pods pro with a slightly different design. So with improved audio, improved noise cancellation. And improved transparency. So these are great. These AirPods pro are great. But an updated version is always welcomed. Now don't expect a Mac book at this event. Apparently Apple is going to put those out later with a redesign. Now it's possible they could push it up earlier.
iPhone 13 Big changes Like Camera, Better Zoom, sensor size.
But it seems like it won't be until later this year with updated Mac book pros, maybe around WWDC or something like that. Now, as far as air tags are concerned. But you've seen those. And you've known. They've been coming for quite some time. And they were in the code of iOS for some time. They were our way to sort of track your belongings, using a little tag that will locate it. Now, as far as those air tags. It seems like. It won't come until later this year, based on what speaking or Spigen or however you want to pronounce their name. And nomad have cases ready to go for those air tags. So an air tag holder with a shipping date of October has been listed.
So maybe they know something. It looks like. We won't see those anytime soon. Anyway. At least in the beginning of the year. Now with iOS 14.4. While it's been out for a couple of weeks. Apple has updated Apple maps in iPhones within a couple cities to give you look around. So if you're in San Diego or Portland, Oregon. You can now use, look around to look around the location. This is San Diego. But you can just sort of drive down a street. And look around. They're all super high resolution and smooth to transition to wherever you're going. So this is available in San Diego. That they continue to update over time.
So it will take a while to update this for all of the cities around the world. But now. It's available in those two cities. Now with iOS 14.5 and iOS 14.4 0.1. A lot of people are asking, will there be an update before iOS 14.5 or when is iOS 14.5 coming up? Well at this time, based on what Apple has done year over year. I would expect iOS 14.5 sometime in March. Maybe around that spring event, however, in between.
Now and then. I would expect some sort of update because Apple stopped signing iOS 14.3. That means there's only iOS 14.4 available to the public. If people are having issues to downgrade to usually. When they stop signing an older version within two weeks. We'll have an update pushed out to the public. So whether that be Apple, really pushing. And rushing things like iOS 14.5 or a smaller interim version with bug fixes, such as maybe a green tint issue fix for iPhone.
We could see that as soon as this week or next week, based on what Apple has done in the past year after year with iOS 14.5, based on last year. We had many betas. So we may have four or five betas up to seven beta. As we've seen in the past. So we could have many or as little as two Apple has really changed up how they're doing updates at this point. So we could see something this week or next week. But I would expect at least iOS 14.5 beta two next week at the latest now with future releases of the Mac book and not necessarily this year.

Apple is said to be working on titanium again as a material to make the Mac books out of in the past. Apple has previously used titanium for Mac books. And it looks like. They're working on it again, based off a patent found by patently Apple. And that patent says that Apple is working on titanium with a textured surface. So they've found a way to texture titanium. Which is super hard and sort of give it a texture, maybe similar to a texture.
That we have the aluminum surface of the M one Mac book pro. But at least they're working with new materials. And I would love to see a new titanium Mac book. Now, as far as the Apple cart. There has been a lot of information going back and forth. It's conflicting. Some have said that Hyundai and Kia are working with Apple to build that car, or they're in talks with Apple. And then others are saying, they're not in talks with Apple.
So at this point, Apple is probably just sourcing parts, seeing what it would take to build a car. Maybe they're just building a prototype. And seeing what would work for them and whether or not. It's worth entering that market. And CNBC has said. That they're working on an autonomous driverless car for their first vehicle. That's fully electric. So there's so much information floating out there. About it that it seems like. We'll just have to wait. And see an Apple is always working on another product.
Whether or not they make one available to the public, or they're just working on prototypes to see if it's something they want to do is yet to be seen. And is just up in the air at this point. Apple had a privacy day, a couple of weeks ago. Where they were talking about how their data is private. That is the right move to keep information private on our phones. Whether that be hiding information from apps, collecting data from other apps or collecting data on where you go after you go to their app.
It's a good move to let you know whether or not apps are tracking you. You have app tracking. And privacy and you can allow apps to track request to track. If you turn it off. They can't track you at all. And they won't even ask. So you want to make sure. That you have it set based on what you want. You would get better ads. For example, if you had it turned on, if you don't care about that, of course, turn it off. So that will be a big push in the next public release of iOS. When iOS 14.5 is released to the public. So a lot of good information over this past couple of weeks. And a lot of good things to look forward to as far as iOS, max, and more.
